Wi-Fi 5 at 5GHz and Bluetooth 5.0 support the wireless link while the vehicle screen and original controls remain in use. The confirmed 48×23×10mm housing uses direct USB-A / Type-C for its vehicle connection format. The iHeylinkit X5 combines wireless phone projection on the factory screen with wireless phone integration for vehicles equipped with compatible factory wired CarPlay or wired Android Auto. Phone positioning data is used for navigation because the adapter does not add a separate GPS receiver. Online firmware updating supports ongoing maintenance, and the original vehicle controls remain part of the daily experience. Use is limited to vehicles that already provide compatible wired CarPlay or wired Android Auto through the original infotainment system.
